Engineered a compact component insertion upgrade for a major tier-1 automotive company, enabling future product variation through precise kaizen design.
This transfer line Component Insertion project was a kaizen to a major tier-1 automotive customer’s high-volume production assembly line machine. This modification was necessary to accommodate future product variation. The modification required many motions to be efficiently packaged in a tight space while avoiding existing machine components. APTUS provided the concept development, detailed design and full mechanical documentation for the required modification needed to handle the client’s upcoming product variation.
