The challenge

  • Put SASE’s proven grinding and polishing tech into a remote-controlled machine
  • Work in buildings where electrical power is limited or non-existent
  • Keep costs low and fit SASE’s existing product line

What APTUS did

  • Defined a new design aesthetic that fits the SASE line
  • Designed the electronics and integrated the remote controls
  • Built working prototypes and tested them for usability and ergonomics
  • Designed for manufacturing, and supported it into production

Results

  • One person runs it, where a typical grinder takes two
  • Much easier on the operator: far less hard manual work
  • The 8KR is in SASE’s product line (see SASECompany.com)
