Design & Product Development
The APTUS DesignWorks team has many years experience in a wide range of industrial machinery design projects. From project planning and costing through debug and startup, we can take responsibility for any aspect of the project and will work independently or with your inhouse staff to bring your equipment into stable production.
Our design experience ranges from high-volume manufacturing equipment such as automated workholding fixtures and large hydraulic die casting machinery, to ergonomic workstations and hand assembly fixtures. We have extensive experience interfacing with complex electronic controls and robotic devices. Our customers call on us when they have a challenging automation requirement such as complex compound motions, extreme geometry constraints, difficult sensing and measurement, or non-dimensional (flexible) material handling.
All of our design work is completed using industry-standard SolidWorks 3D solid modeling software, which allows functional analysis as well as accurate strength and motion analysis. We have the ability to reverse-engineer almost any existing workpiece or tooling using the highly accurate measurement equipment in our in-house measurement lab. We also travel to our customer's locations to provide onsite CMM measurement when needed.
We will be happy to partner with your favorite machine builder or your in-house technicians for machine assembly and runoff. Or we can provide turn-key equipment fully tested and ready to run using one of our established partner companies. Either way, APTUS will handle all of the project management and take full responsibility for making sure your automation needs are met.
